Two new summer workshops!

Wed. Aug. 22

“Time, Tone, Together!” Join Westwinds Director, Jeremy Legault, for an evening of music making while exploring specific approaches to playing accurate rhythms in time, making the best tone possible, and connecting effectively with other musicians at any level.  Bring your instrument, a willingness to try new methods and your sense of adventure!

Wed. Aug. 29

Ever wonder how ear training and dictation can aid in your ability to sight read.  Come learn how to better hear rhythm, pitch, and melody as you try transcribing dictated rhythms and melodies.  This would be of great use to band and choir members equally.  Join Westwinds Women’s Choir director, Nicole Hounjet, as you explore this unique approach to improving overall musicianship. Bring paper, pencils, and erasers.

Westwinds Music Society introduces the Westwinds Symphonic Band:

Commencing September, 2018, Westwinds is expanding its concert band offering to include the Symphonic Band. Please see the Rehearsal Schedule for more information.
